Privacy Policy

01 Our Privacy Promise

At Sampal, we believe browser extensions should help you read without watching what you do.

We only keep the minimum information needed to run your account. We never spy on you or sell your personal data.

02 Zero Storage of Selected Text

When you select text on a webpage and click "Ask sampal", that text is sent only to generate your immediate explanation. Once the answer is shown on your screen, that text is gone from our servers.

03 We Never Train AI on Your Data

Your reading and thinking are private.

We never use the text you highlight, your prompts, or AI answers to train, improve, or teach any AI models.

04 What Information We Collect

We only collect basic account information:

• Google Sign-in: When you sign up with Google, we save your email address so we know your account and track your daily usage limit.
• License Status: If you buy a plan, we track whether your license is active so you can use premium features.

05 What We Never Do

• No Browsing History: We do not track or save which websites you visit or what tabs you have open.
• No Keystroke Tracking: We do not record what you type, your passwords, or form inputs.
• No Selling Data: We never sell, rent, or share your email or information with advertisers or data brokers.

06 Payment Privacy via Freemius

All purchases are processed securely by Freemius.

Sampal never sees, collects, or stores your credit card numbers or banking details. Freemius handles everything safely and sends payment receipts directly to your email.
